Starting Oct. 1, any person who is confronted has no "duty to retreat," and "has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm...."
The new law is so slack and so poorly written that even if you imagine that your life or property are in danger, you have the right to open fire. Did you catch that, PROPERTY. The name of the bill is the "Protection of Persons and Property Bill." Now you can legally shoot someone for leaving a shopping cart in the parking lot. "But your Honor, I imagined the shopping cart the Defendent was pushing could have scratched my car."
I guess the law has its merits. Jehova's Witnesses can now be used as target practice when they enter your property. "Your Honor, not only was my property in danger but so was my soul! She said I would not be saved unless I accepted God. I wasn't about to change my beliefs in God, so I just had to open fire to save myself!"
So if there is anyone you want to get rid of, bring them to Florida in the winter and fire away.
